 The basic concept of Contractors All Risk (CAR) Insurance is to offer comprehensive and adequate protection against loss or damage in respect of the contract works, construction plant and equipment and/or construction machinery, as well as for third party claims in respect of property damage or bodily injury arising in connection with the execution of a building project.

 The assembly or erection of machinery, plant, and steel structures, normally covered by Erection All Risk (EAR) Insurance, may be included under a CAR policy provided that their value, including erection costs, is less than 50% of the total sum insured.
